Mayo is the Colour of Christmas!
Just a bit of fun, but I couldn’t resist designing these Mayo Christmas cards for the year that’s in it!
Anyone who knows me knows my hubby’s family and our kids are huuuuge GAA fans. Back when I lived in Dublin, I used to have 20+ people staying over every single time Mayo were in the final… and the semi-final… and the replay… and the next semi-final! Meanwhile, I was usually the one left behind on babysitting duties, keeping the kettle boiled and watching the madness unfold.
Living here on Achill Island, that green and red pride is everywhere - and green and red are the colours of Christmas, so it felt like a match made in heaven.
I sat down at the design desk recently and put together a collection of 8 Mayo and Achill Christmas cards. I wanted them to capture the real warmth, local humour, and beautiful scenery of the West!
